Train AI on your writing style with your past issues
Train AI on your writing style by giving HeyNews the issues you've already sent.
14-day trial or 5 generated issues. HeyNews drafts, you review before sending.

What it is
A general AI chat tool writes in its own voice unless you describe yours in every prompt. HeyNews learns your tone, vocabulary, sentence patterns, section structure, and signature phrases from your past issues, and shows you the Voice Profile it built.
How HeyNews learns your writing style
- Connect your newsletter
- Use a beehiiv API key or approve access in Kit. Public archives on Substack, Ghost, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, or Medium need no API key.
- HeyNews imports your past issues
- Up to 50 recent issues come from a public archive. You can add more past issues later.
- Voice Training runs in the background
- It usually takes a few minutes, then your AI Writer appears under Voice & past issues.
- Pick stories and generate a draft
- Choose stories, or let Smart Select pick them, and your AI Writer drafts the issue.
- Refine in plain language
- Ask for a shorter intro, then make the final edits yourself.
What it does not do
Drafts look at a few past issues for humor, paragraph rhythm, emoji habits, and sign-offs, without copying old sentences or links. HeyNews does not send or publish: you send from your own platform. Your issues never train anyone else's AI Writers. And the edit pass is still yours.
What you control
- Style Rules
- Add up to 50 Style Rules, such as ending the intro with a question. They apply to the next draft, with no retraining.
- Reusable Links
- Approve up to 20 Reusable Links, like your subscribe page. Other links come only from the stories you pick.
- A separate AI Writer for each format
- If your Monday deep dive and Friday roundup follow different structures, HeyNews can set up an AI Writer for each.

Use cases
The creator whose readers came for the personality
Your subscribers like the links, but they stay for the asides. The AI Writer learned those from your back issues, so your edit can go to the news.
The agency keeping a client's voice
Three writers, one voice. AI Writers belong to the publication, so everyone on the client newsletter drafts from the same Voice Profile and Style Rules.
