Founding Engineer
You'd be our first engineering hire. You're not slotting into a team; you're building one. You'll work directly with the founders, ship features end-to-end, and own architecture calls we'll live with for years. The equity reflects that: founding-level stock options with real ownership.
What You'll Do
- Build full-stack features across a React frontend and Node.js + AWS Lambda backend
- Work on the AI pipeline: content aggregation, voice learning, generation quality
- Prompt engineering, model selection, evals. LLMs are the product, not a side feature
- Infra work when it needs doing: SQS workers, MongoDB, CI/CD, deploy pipelines
- Talk to customers. Their feedback turns into your next sprint
What We're Looking For
- You've built and shipped things with React, Node.js, and some form of cloud infra
- You're comfortable jumping between frontend, backend, and infra in the same week
- You've worked with LLMs, or you've been tinkering on your own and want to do it professionally
- You ship fast but know when to slow down and think
- You're OK with not having a spec for everything. Sometimes the spec is a Slack message and a screenshot
Nice to Have
- AWS serverless experience (Lambda, SQS, SST)
- MongoDB or another document database
- Background in content, media, or publishing tools
- Previous startup experience where you wore multiple hats
- Side projects or open source work you're proud of
