Drafts in your voice and your publication's language
HeyNews reads your past issues and learns your phrasing, tone, and structure. HeyNews sets up separate AI Writers for different editions, like a Monday deep dive and a Friday link roundup. Each publication has its own language, and new drafts are written in it even when your archive is in another language. Teach a writer once with up to 50 Style Rules and 20 Reusable Links, with no retraining.
Drafts on your schedule
Pick one or more issue days and a cadence from every week to every four weeks. HeyNews picks the stories and writes each draft on the issue day or up to 6 days before it, with a subject line and preview text. Every draft waits in Issues for your review.
Straight into beehiiv as a draft
On paid beehiiv plans, HeyNews can create each finished draft as an unsent post draft in beehiiv. It never schedules or sends. Kit connects with one approval, and Substack, Ghost, Mailchimp, and other public archives import past issues for voice training.
Every source you follow, ranked for relevance
Follow RSS feeds, sites, subreddits, YouTube channels, and public social profiles, or save a single article as a Story with the Chrome extension. HeyNews checks your Sources automatically and scores every Story for relevance. With beehiiv or Kit connected, Analytics shows your opens and clicks, and HeyNews uses them to rank stories and suggest subject lines.
Refine any draft in the editor
Write a full issue or one section at a time. Add a Draft Brief to give one issue its own angle. Ask the AI to rewrite a section, add a hot take, change the tone, or try new subject lines, and search for images without leaving the draft. Drafts link only to the Stories you picked and the Reusable Links you approved.
Run several publications with your team
Each publication keeps its own AI Writers, Sources, timezone, and language. Invite teammates as Admins, Editors, or Viewers, share the publication's AI Writers, and send anyone the link to the issue you are working on. Seats and publication counts depend on your plan.

Connect beehiiv with an API key to import past issues. On paid beehiiv plans, HeyNews can create each finished draft as an unsent post draft in beehiiv. It never schedules or sends. Draft creation also needs a separate beehiiv OAuth connection. Kit connects with OAuth. For other platforms, share your public archive URL or ask support to import a CSV export of past issues. Save articles with the Chrome extension.
