Acceptable Use Policy

This policy applies to Newsletter Hosting: every publication HeyNews LLC hosts and every email it sends for a customer. It is part of our Terms of Service for Newsletter Hosting. If you break it, we may suspend or end Newsletter Hosting for you immediately.

Email you may not send

• Email to anyone who has not given you consent to receive it.
• Email to purchased, rented, scraped, harvested, shared or appended lists, or to addresses generated by guessing.
• Email that hides or falsifies who sent it, its routing, or its subject.
• Email without a working unsubscribe link, or without your valid postal address.
• Email after the recipient has unsubscribed.
• Phishing, malware, or links to either.

Content you may not publish or send

• Anything illegal, or that promotes illegal activity.
• Content that infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy.
• Sexual content involving minors, content that exploits anyone, or content that incites violence or harassment.
• Deceptive offers, pyramid schemes, or fraudulent financial or health claims.

Things you may not do to our systems

• Probe, scan or test the vulnerability of our systems or networks, or break our security or authentication.
• Interfere with or overload our services, or use them to attack anyone else.
• Get around a sending limit, a suspension or a block.
• Use our services to break the acceptable use policies of our providers, including the AWS Acceptable Use Policy.

Sending standards

You must keep your bounce and complaint rates low enough that our email provider accepts our mail. We may pause a publication whose rates rise above the limits we set, which we may change to keep up with our providers' rules.

Reporting abuse

Report spam or abuse to abuse@heynews.co.

Changes

We may update this policy. We will email Newsletter Hosting customers at least 30 days before a change takes effect, unless the law or our email provider requires a faster change, and post the new version here with a new date.
